Casino Games.... Do You Have The LUCK

Casino Games.... Do You Have The LUCK

Singapore has finally our own Casinos now — Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) and Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Casino.  I am just a nobody in this world.  I have not stepped into our Casinos yet since its openings, not even went near it.  I had not gone to Sentosa for several years (at least 7 years).  Being a nobody, I do not know about the rules of the Casinos.  I do not know anything about casino tax rebate or even have any ideas about having gambling winnings tax.

I was introduced to the world of gambling and Casinos only after I know Richard, my boyfriend and now my husband.  He had never won any amount of money for any of the Casinos that he had gone to.  BUT, LUCK was with me!  The first time we went to Genting Casino, I won Kenos, the very first game that I played at the Casino.  It was a bet on numbers.  I betted on three numbers and these three numbers were my winning numbers instantly!

Richard taught me how to play blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette… We went to Casino at Genting and also Las Vegas.  Read my casino experience in my blogs.  I never lost.  Read about my casino winnings at my blogs.  I am just a small little fry and the amount I betted on was insignificant as compared to these people which are mentioned favourably as shown below in the newspaper.  However, for me, that is an accomplishment, considering the fact that my husband had never won BEFORE, and the fact that people around me did not usually win as well.

I am neither a businessman nor a singer….  I am just a mother of my children, a daughter of my parents and wife of my husband, not holding any job, but taking care of the family.  Reading the newspaper is my past time, a necessity to update myself on current affairs as well.  Reading the ‘tragic’ news of this businessman who is the managing director of Far Ocean Sea Products (a seafood processing and trading company operating out of Fishery Port Road in Jurong), alarms me.  In his 50s, seemingly successful person, who is also the president of the Seafood Industries Association Singapore(a group which comprises local companies that process, manufacture and trade in seafood), lost his money during a 3-day gambling spree in June.  Within such a short time, he lost such a huge amount of money… to me is a huge amount.  For high roller like this man, director of a multi-million dollar company, this is obviously a hot topic of discussion….

Bets big and Baccarat is his favourite game…”He was quite the showoff who bragged about his achievements.  Today, he is noticeably quiet.  You would be, too, if you lost $26.3 million at the tables.” quoted from The New Paper.  Being married(to a foreigner), he was seen “at the tables with girlfriend in tow.”  He travels in style and was chauffeured around in a uber-luxurious car worth at least $700000!

Once when his losses crosses the $4 million mark, his girlfriend started crying and pleaded with a RWS’ senior officers to stop giving him more chips on credit…  Of his $26.3 million loss, the businessman repaid about $10million; and as of 22 July, he still owed RWS some $13million….

Appearing on the headlines of today’s newspaper is also Jay Chou — “Jay Chou loses $2m in MBS casino, He gives $6000 tip and asks for aunty croupier…”   On this mentioned Local, “Loud Local Businessman loses $26m at RWS casino in 3 days: He talks big, bets big and loses big…”

Thanks to such kind of people that the Casino Business will flourish…. It is reported that the total gaming revenue for both RWS and MBS combined has been estimated at around US$3 billion ($4 Billion) yearly, according to Business Times.
