Credit Card Payment

Saw three pieces of printed paper at the church. The above shows one of the copy. There are altogether 3 sheets of paper with both pages printed with colourful images and important words underlined. This was supposed to be someone else’s letter. Something that was sent to one of the home in Singapore. The ‘title’ of this letter is Living Water For The Thirsty.

The person who wrote this letter is this person by the name of Peter Youngren. I love something that is being mentioned in the letter. It wrote: Imagine a man dying of thirst in the desert. He’s offered a choice between two buckets, one full of the world’s rarest diamonds, and the other full of water. Of course, he will take the water.

Peter Youngren started the letter with a quoted statement: The greatest crime in the desert is finding water and keeping silent. Next, he went on to say that :The world is a spiritual desert of religious self-effort, where people thirst for reality. He went on to say that when he saw this ancient proverb, something in his spirit shouted,”We will not keep silent!”, but we will share the most satisfying, thirst-quenching commodity in the world; Jesus Himself.

Next, he illustrated a few examples of sick people (blind people, twisted feet man, demon-possessed woman, etc) had healed themselves from the power of Jesus. This is the effects of the “Living Water” of Jesus during their campaign in Tanzania….

It is such a lengthy letter. I just glanced through. Who would like to read lengthy letter. Luckily there are so many images on the letter. But it was ‘scary’. The sight of CD and the box, together with all the money signs… it just scared people off. Regardless of what kind of secured credit cards or top credit cards you are using, always be careful with credit card gifts (that is, credit card payments) especially if the transactions are being done online via the internet. In the first photograph, it shows the paperwork or form-filling for credit card gifts (that is, Automated), as quoted from the letter. For safe and secure giving, please visit the person’s website…

I don’t know how secured it is going to be and you can choose a one time donation or a monthly seed gift. But I am surely not going to use any more credit card payments since I am ‘once bitten twice shy’! I used to have a credit card, something like student credit cards, with the bank’s name, my name and the name of my institution, National University of Singapore on it. The card did not stay long with me. I went to the internet to try something. Who knows that by clicking and filling up my particulars for some ‘free thing’, I was ‘hooked on’ to something which was difficult to shed off later on. An innocent me in the past, I was so scared and felt so much of injustice for being so straightforward and honest in providing my personal details on the internet so easily (filling up particulars). The next month’s bill came with something, ‘a commodity’ which I did not even receive nor got to enjoy at all. It is mere ‘cheats’. I had to call up U.S and also the bank. The bank would not handle such a thing they said — since it is between me and the other party (which I have no idea how to contact them either). Nobody to help in that case. If nothing is going to be done, I had to pay recurring monthly subscriptions (free donation to this company). I cleared all the credit card bill for the month, and I wrote in to cancel my credit card. That is my solution to end the ‘injustice’ done to me.

So before you made any hasty decision to start any credit cards monthly donation or subscription to anything, think twice. It is easy to start but difficult to end… you might not be breaking free as a result. You might be sucked even drier and this can only make you even more thirsty!
