Gold Plated Medallion

This is my mother’s Monkey Gold Plated Medallion. I am holding it in my hand. I took these pictures when I went to her house.
The year 2004 is the year of the Monkey, Golden Monkey. My mother is born in the the Monkey year. She has several gold coins collection. They are the rooster, sheep, dogs and pigs. My mother did not buy gold coins. Some of the gold coins were free gifts from buying beer and some were gifts from my sister or my sister-in-law.
The older people always love gold. They know that gold are good investments which can help them to preserve their wealth. Gold prices are attractive as can be seen from gold price chart at BullionVault.com. Besides stocks and shares investment, more people are looking into gold investment. This is definitely another way to diversify your assets and not putting all your eggs in one basket!
