Factory Workers
By Money Sick | November 22, 2007
Everyday my mother works at Singapore Carton(s) situated at Tuas. Tuas, Pioneer, Gul Crescent, Lok Yang (or Loyang, very confusing — one in the west and one in the east, if I am not wrong Lok Yang is in the west), and so on, are all the west side of industrial estate. They were places I used to visit. Sometimes my father would go there to help out too. My brother-in-law is working there too.
One of my temporary vacation work was at Gul Circle. I worked as a general clerk. There were many male workers. The number of males outnumbered the number of females in the factory. One of the guy was very good to me. He was friendly and was good-looking. Though he did not help in my work, he talked to me, and that was so nice already. I would not feel lonely left out there.
I need to walk to the factory at times. I was told to walk carefully and to take my own precaution at all time when walking in the factory. Those where places where machines and goods were located and the workers at work. Unlike shopping centres or people working in office, these workers who worked in the factory had no air-condition at all. It was noisy and warm there. During sunny day, the factory was even warmer than usual. You could see workers fanning themselves and complaining about the weather. Industrial Ventilation should be better so that workers can work in peace and it will not affect their productivity too. Factories which had poor ventilation system should consider solution like BigAssFans. BigAssFans makes six- to 24-foot diameter ceiling fans that use their immense size -not speed- to move massive amounts of air over large spaces. Find out more at BigAssFans.com.
