Who Is The Owner
By Money Sick | November 13, 2007

Whose dog is this? Is it the maid’s dog? A common scene nowadays in the playground or under the void deck, we always see maids waiting for children, maids with children and maids with dogs and children. Children and dogs get to go out with their parents (and owners) only during the weekends. Some ‘unlucky’ children might not even have chance to go out with their parents! They are mostly at home with the maid and dog, as their parents are always busy with work or other kind of ‘excuses’(entertainment).
However, it is a truth that work really takes up a lot of time in today’s society. When there are children in the family, and where both parents are working, it is a question mark whether a not to keep a dog. Many times, we see the maid washing cars for the owners too. The maid has to do almost EVERYTHING for the owner. This includes looking after children while swimming. My brother’s maid need to change into swimming costumes and be in the pool with the kids previously. I saw the maid very ‘obedient’ and she was not that pretty. However, on Saturday, she was different, very different.
When the ‘mums’ and ‘sirs’ are not around in the house, the maid gets to enjoy the big house, the condominium, the mansion and so on to themselves. They can have so much freedom when the owners are not at home. Children get to learn all the habits and attitudes of the maid rather than from parents (since they spend more time with their children than with parents).

This is Jungle. My sister-in-law is carrying him. Jungle is very fat and his fringe is very long, nice! It is so hard to capture his photographs as he kept moving.
For people who have no children now, they are just as busy with work alone, once they have their own house, own family. Lim Chan has just got their house and she is working. This is enough for her. She is stressful with work and having to cope with house, work and dogs. Her dogs are no longer the same as before too. She used to ‘pamper’ on the dogs, bring the dogs for walks, exercise (swimming) and grooming. Now that she had her house, I think she does not have so much time with her dogs anymore.
Why worked so hard for money when you do not get to enjoy your home, your luxury and your children? Why worked so hard for your maid to enjoy everything? Who get to enjoy the luxury and who seems to be the real owner of the house? Who is the owner of the house? Who is the owner of the dog? This is what I had learned during my life insurance course — Personal Financial Planning. May this brings you some inspiration and enlightenment — As it has done to me.

[...] Maid not dog’s owner, Maid not children’s mother. The car does not belong to the maid ei… Maid or no maid? I choose no maid. I choose to look after the children myself. I choose to give up my job(s). I choose to do what I am doing now and who I want to be with. I have no regrets about everything and anything, not at all. I am living a life that everyday I am doing what I ought to do, my conscience is clear and I fulfilled all my obligations. That suffice and that is achieving peace of mind. [...]
