$5 Per Post?
By Money Sick | August 4, 2007
How much do you think you are worth? How much do you think you ought to be paid for a piece of your writing and your opinion to be posted on your blog? Do you just allow anyone to place a link on your site? How much do you think a few words or a few pixels are worth on your blog or website?
All these questions are dependent on your page rank of your website, your blog. Your page rank will affect the traffic to your website as well. How much you feel you are worth and how much you think each post that you write is all subjective. For a student, a post which pays them $5 may be sufficient for them. For a person who has a page rank of five or more, a post that pays $5 would be too little for them.
Most of my blogs have a page rank of three. Before I blog for money, I had blogs with page rank of Five, four, three, two and one. After I had placed numerous advertisers links on my blogs, my page rank decreases, now my highest page rank is three, lowest zero. Well, I have no regrets. Money is what I need and for receiving money, I provide a service, and that is the price I have to pay for getting money.
Writing posts for advertisers is time consuming if you want to do a good post on them, not just writing for the sake of writing — merely producing a sloppy piece of work with a link in them. I always try to try to seek some inspiration and ideas first before I wrote anything about any advertisers. However, before I wrote anything, I will always check out their website first. Next is the payment. If the website is very good and it pays a reasonable price, I will write on it. If the website is not something which I will want to recommend to my readers, I will not accept the advertiser. However, if it pays well, I might consider. How much is really pay well?
Generally, $5 is the minimum market rate you will get for a post on your blog. Various places pay you $5 for an advertiser link or links on a post that you submit to them. Blogitive and ReviewMe generally have posts which pays $5 only. PayPerPost and Blogsvertise have a range of payment scale, from as low as $5 to as high as $25 per post. ReviewMe does have some advertisers which have higher payment of $10 even $22.50! The higher payout is the very rare ones. Bloggerwave has very little tasks so far. But their payouts is attractive — $10 per post! Smorty and Pay2Blog have minimum $6 payouts per post. At Smorty, I have done posts that pay $9 too. At Pay2Blog, I have not seen posts that pays anything higher than $6 yet.
I used to write any posts as long as they pay me, even the $5 ones. But nowadays, the $5 tasks do not appeal to me anymore. I think my time is definitely worth more than $5 and placing a link on my sites has to be more than $5. At Payperpost, there are always lots of $5 tasks that is left ‘behind’. Not many people want to take up those $5 tasks. At Payperpost, you have to be fast. The high payout tasks are always snatched up fast by bloggers.
If want to be paid $5 per post, Blogitive and ReviewMe is always ‘open’ to you. (Remember ReviewMe has higher payouts but their minimum is $5)
